Daniel Bethencourt, Detroit Free Press, September 13, 2016 (Joe Louis's home gets a rehab.)
For the last five or so years, a home once owned by boxing legend Joe Louis had been in dramatic decline. The four-bedroom property in Detroit's Boston-Edison neighborhood sported a partially caved-in roof, peeling paint and dumpsters full of past occupants' abandoned belongings.
The home has since had a dramatic facelift, and has hit the market on sale for $280,000.
