Decorated for the holidays, the Charles T. Fisher mansion opened its door for a rare tour inside.

The 1922 English Tudor-style mansion was built for Charles and Sarah Fisher by architect George D. Mason. Mason also designed the Ransom Gillis House, the Belle Isle Aqurium and Mackinac Island's Grand Hotel.

The house on W. Boston Blvd. is the largest home in the historic Boston-Edison district with 15,000-square-feet, making it 18,000 with the carriage house.

The neighborhood, located in the geographic center of Detroit, attracted the city's wealthy and most influential automotive and business leaders in the early twentieth century.
