Boston-Edison Oktoberfest 2020

The celebration has been modified for social distancing and safety! 

Join us for a fun time with neighbors, family, and friends for the fourth annual Boston-Edison Oktoberfest (modified) will take place on Saturday, Oct. 10th, from 6:00-9 p.m. at 610 W. Boston Blvd. 

Come join us for free packaged/wrapped brats, sauerkraut, dogs, snacks and soft drinks. There will be no keg this year, so BRING YOUR OWN BREW or favorite adult beverage. A PG movie will be on the reel. Prizes will be awarded to the best themed dressed female and male, also for the best beer steins. You must clean up and take your trash with you (don't forget trash bags).

Please note some important changes for this year's event:

• Residents MUST BYBBC (Bring Your Own Brew, Blanket, Chair).

• MASKS ARE MANDATORY and are to be worn at all times except when eating or drinking

• The event is now FREE and is LIMITED to the first 50 60 registered and will be open to Boston-Edison residents only. Update: Registration is now full! 

Oktoberfest Social Distancing & Safety Procedures

• This will be a 3 hour event.
• Maintain Social Distancing, Should be at least 6 feet or more.
• WEARING MASKS ARE REQUIRED of all attendees and are to be removed only to eat and drink.
• The mask is utilized to decrease the risk of spreading COVID 19 to others.
• Families of the same household or groups that are together may sit together picnic-style on the ground or in seated groups closer than six feet.
• You will be allowed to enter the backyard beginning 30 minutes before start time.
• There will be VERY limited registration slots.
• Advance Registration; no registration "at the door".
• Food or drink will be provided, although you can bring your own, picnic-style
• Do not share food or beverages. We recommend labeling water bottles or soft drinks minimize the risk of others picking up bottles belonging to someone else.   
• Wash hands with soap and water for 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer gel with at least 60% alcohol • Avoid sharing items. Clean hands thoroughly before eating
• NO entering the homes (not even for the bathroom, so please plan accordingly--there will be no "Porta-Potties").
