2016 Sounds of Music™ Season

The sixth season of Boston-Edison House Concerts was another great series. See the links below for photographs of the events. Season Six featured:

  • A classical performance featuring the Bridge Trio, consisting of GRAMMY winner John McLaughlin Williams and Velda Kelly on violins and Romona Merritt on viola.
  • A beautiful evening of high-energy jazz from the Zamar Jazz Band.
  • A folk performance featuring award-winning singer/songwriter Jill Jack on vocals and guitar, accompanied by Mark Iannace.
  • A high-energy performance by the Detroit Youth Choir under the expert direction of Anthony White.

2015 Sounds of Music™ Season

The fifth season of Boston-Edison House Concerts was another great series. See the links below for photographs of the events. Season Five featured:

  • The sounds of Trio Neo, consisting of flutist Tracy Kash, clarinetist and saxophonist Shannon Ford and pianist Doug Scott.
  • Popular summer jazz with the ladies of Straight Ahead, a a GRAMMY nominated hometown favorite.
  • ASCAP award-winning vocalist Kathy Kosins, who The Chicago Tribune has called, "...one of the most alluring voices in jazz."
  • The talented young artist and jazz pianist Brendon Davis and his group.

2012 Sounds of Music™ Season

The second season of Boston-Edison House Concerts was again a very successful endeavor. See the links below for photographs of the events. Season Two featured:

  • A kickoff concert with fun classic and contemporary folk music from guitarist David Nefesh and his friends, along with a light dinner and drinks.
  • Soulful, jazzy music with vocalist Penny Wells, along with a light dinner and drinks.
  • Authentic flamenco music and dance with "La Chispa and Company," along with a light Spanish-themed dinner and drinks
  • Children's Concert with the Urban Stringz Youth Ensemble, with punch and cookies.

2011 Sounds of Music™ Season

The first season of Boston-Edison House Concerts are done, and it was a very successful endeavor. See the links below for photographs of the events. Season One featured:

  • An evening of jazz and Latin jazz with the acclaimed Pamela Wise Trio featuring spectacular Spanish cuisine.
  • The hot sounds of Leo Rea and his Rea Deal Big Band and a wonderful summer backyard picnic.
  • The Midtown3, a phenomenal classical trio featuring flute (Dennis Carter), harp (Lydia Cleaver) and viola (Leslie Deshazor Adams) and crisp harvest foods of the season.
